I bet South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford (who inexplicably disappeared for 3 days to hike the Appalachian Trail and clear his mind, while he was actually in Argentina cheating on his wife with some Latina sexpot) is relieved Michael Jackson is getting all the media coverage.

And I predict "hiking the Appalachian trail" will become the new euphemism for having an illicit affair.

I'd add "Can I interest you in hiking the Appalachian Trail?" to my arsenal of pickup lines, but I'm afraid the comeback would be "No, but don't let that stop you from taking a hike!"

Unhappily for me, my quarry always seems to be one step ahead of me...

Thank goodness the Governor's wife was not by his side when he made his "Shame speech" Whenever, politicians do wrong for some reason there wives are always by there side.

In my bed.[/quote]

Lol, I had a party for one here last night....Chinese food and a couple of good movies. My dog was sneaky and crawled into bed with me at some point during the night. Sort of weird waking up all cuddled next to something hairy.......thank god it was a dog and not some bar fly.

What the hell is going on? First Farrah, then Jacko, and now Billy Mays (TV's vocal pitchman for OxyClean and other products) has been found dead at his Florida home at the tender age of 50! I've felt half-dead myself for the past week or so with whatever flu or virus is going around, so I'm feeling very fatalistic right now.

That's no lie! I bought a tub of OxiClean myself to remove tough spots from my carpet and to add as a whitener to my regular laundry detergent, and that stuff is INCREDIBLE! In fact, I'm all out and need to add it to my shopping list. I'm off to the grocery store now (for beer, not OxiClean). BRB.

His body is not even in the ground and you are practicing how to pitch his products......are you going after his job :?: His voice annoyed me so regardless of what I was watching I would change the channel when he came on.

Wahoo, do they sell Red Stripe down there by the case? I can only find it up here in the 6 packs and while I'm tempting to buy one (or more) I somehow have the willpower to save it for Jamaica.

That's it! Tomorrow morning I'm changing over all the allotments in my pension plan to shares in the funeral industry!

On the lighter side, you gotta smile at the last words of another old fellow you died just recently (sorry I can't recall his name). According to the family, his dying words were, "I can't believe I died before Keith Richards!"

I know, same here. And even though he always struck me as a really nice guy, someone I'd love to have as a neighbor or fishing/golfing buddy, every time my TV would be on and I'd hear that booming "Hi, Billy Mays here!" it would be a scramble to get to my remote control and hit the mute button before my neighbors started punding on the walls. (PS. My neighbors :-x ...screw them anyways!)
