My plan today is to get my head down and do some work in my 9-5 and only be on J&B during my lunch hour!!!

Have lots of social activities.
Stop squeezing my toe blister before it goes septic and drops off - cos that will create mayhem with my fave hobby (wearing high heeled shoes).

Today I made a solemn vow to do something next weekend that I haven't done in years. Yes, I'm talking about re-caulking my bathtub and fixtures. I had good intentions of doing it today...honest!...but you know how that goes. But I did just return from the hardware store with all the supplies I'll need (plus a side trip to Total Wine & More for another case of Red Stripe), so I have no excuse to procrastinate any longer and put off doing this dreaded job next weekend.

Of course a whole week is plenty of time to think up a good excuse or two...

Wahoo, return the silicone and get some poly caulking it will last forever!

I got Dap Kwik SealPlus high-gloss white kitchen & bath adhesive caulk with Microban antimicrobial product protection. I don't think it's a silicone-based sealant and caulking compound, but whether it's "poly" I'm clueless. Maybe I will go back tomorrow and ask specifically about about poly caulking compounds, because "last forever" is what I want. Removing old caulking is such a royal pain in the arse.

Most of Dap's products are latex and some add some silicone which is sort of retarded. Latex will crack over time and it's bond to silicone is a joke. Silicone alone will peel off if you look at it in a few months. Check out Dap's "Sidewinder" while it's not the best poly it will hold up longer than any other product that you will find at the home centers.

If you make a mess with the Sidewinder clean it up right away with WD-40, if it cures on your hands you will live with it for weeks!

Thank's for the tip, Eco. Actually, I do have a can of WD-40. (What man doesn't have a can of WD-40?) Technically, I don't think I really need a caulk that'll last "forever," but one that'll last 20 years should do it. I figure 20 years (more or less) is what I got left, if I'm careful to avoid breaking a leg on the reef around Negril's West End. After that, caulking the tub will be somebody else's problem.

Lol, If I'm not mistaken the UK people have a candy bar named WD-40 so they will get confused reading this. Pretty sure it's candy in the UK, if not it might be in Spain. Our local Home Depot hired a foreign guy who I over heard telling someone that they don't sell WD-40 since they are not a candy store. After the issue was cleared up everyone found humor in the fact that lube in one country is a snack in another.
