We would like to do something different?

Postby trvellover » Wed Apr 07, 2010 4:23 am

We would like to do something different in our next Negril trip (date not decide) and would like to know if someone has knowledge about golf clubs at Negril share with us? Any info would be appreciated.

Best Regards,

I've thought about playing golf a few times but I always wimp out since I don't want to play in the heat of the day and I can never seem to wake up early in the morning before the sun starts to bake everything.

Be sure to ask about extra fees if you book a resort that offers "free golf". Some of them partner with courses that are miles away and they fail to tell you that you have to pay for:

1. Your transportation to and from the golf course.

2. Club rentals if you don't bring your own.

3. A caddy, some places require a caddy and they cost $$ plus they want a $$ tip at the end of the round.

4. Balls, beer and the other stuff that you would have to pay for at home.

If you want to send me $120 on paypal plus an alarm clock I'll wake up early and play a round and give you a report about it :-)

Golf is cool, but I'd rather spend my $120 on indoor sports...if you know what I mean. :dreads:

Besides, look at all the trouble Tiger Woods is in because of golf...I don't need those kinds of problems.

Trvellover, though I shared my secret to great golf in another thread (wahoo-secret-great-golf-t670.html), there are some here who consider golf to be the second least manly athletic pursuit (second only to curling). You might want to play it safe and stick with cricket or dominoes.
