Do you ever think your getting old or something?

Postby Nanoose » Wed Sep 01, 2010 1:40 pm

A few days ago I seem my arch enemy Mr. Vampire going into the grocery store so I took a sticker off one of my bananas and stuck it on his bikes reflector.
After I did it I started thinking it was pretty infantile and I was a little ashamed of my self because when I was a young man I would of thought of something more mature and more diabolical.
I am only five and a half decades old but after the banana sticker thing I am starting to think that I am going into my second child hood and what happens after that maybe walking around malls in high wasted pants and suspenders looking for vampires. Cheers!

WOW, I See the Friday night six pack started a couple of days early this week! Good idea about the stickers, I'm going to put them on apples or carrots to goof with people.

Guys, if it's any consolation, I'm pretty sure I prematurely aged at least 10-15 years this past year. But I'm hanging in there...can't give up the ghost till I've made at least one more trip to Negril.

Every single day. My knees hurt so bad I'm afraid to climb steps, not to mention my lower back. Oh yeah, gray hair. Getting old SUCKS!

When I was in my ganja growing prime I took care of close to 300 bush plants ever season – this year it was a chore taking care of 20.
I even got a little bit lost in the bush this year – maybe altimerzer’s is setting in.
The worst is at the end of the season I had made a trail to my spots that a blind man could of followed – in my prime I left no visible trails it was like I was a gentle wind moving through the bush. What kind of hurts is I know if I still grew 300 bush plants I wouldn’t be able to push the bud in the bars the way I did when I was in my prime - partly because I am in bed by 10:00 PM these days and partly because I would be easy to ripe off because of the old bones and altimerzer’s . Cheers!

Just when I was thinking I was getting old or something and love had passed me by, I stopped off at a likkle mom & pop store after work one day this past week for a likkle liquid refreshment. Same place I mentioned in another post where everybody stops off to throw they money away on lottery tickets. This day, when I entered the store, there was a lady I hadn't seen before in the checkout line--tall, classy-looking, looked like the Mohogany Beach gal in Wah Do Dem. ;-) She had been purchasing lottery tickets but left the checkout line for some reason.

I was next in line when she returned and started to get in line behind me.

"No, please," I said to her, "you finish up...you were before me when I came in."

"You don't mind?" she asked, then switched places with me in line when I moved aside to let her around (it's a small store, with little room to manuever in the checkout line).

She finished buying her lottery tickets and thanked me again as she turned to leave for letting her ahead of me. "Good luck!" I called out to her as she headed to the exit.

When I exited the store with my "refreshments," she rolled her car window down and called out to me, "If I win, I'm coming back to look for you or ask about getting in touch with you."

"I'll probably be here," I replied. "Win big!"

In retrospect, I wish I'd told her that I'd settle right then and there on her buying me a beer at the nearest local bar of her choosing.

I hope that lady does hit the Mega-Millions Jackpot, so when she comes back to the store looking for me to reward me for being her good luck, I can propose a trip to Secrets or Couples or Hedo II if she'll escort me. ;-)

I am starting to think that I am getting old because I don’t play with my springy pole anymore and since my wife has no more use for it I am thinking of cutting it up and making a conversation piece for the coffee table out of it.

A springy pole is like a leveraged bar except it has a bit of elasticity to it so when you apply a force to one end of it the elasticity creates an equal or greater force - if you
tie that springy pole down the force will be stored in the pole.
If you were to set up 50 springy poles on each side of a 4 bedroom ranch style home and then apply a little force to the first pole – tie it down – do the same to the other 99 poles – go back to the first springy pole tie it down a little bit more – then do the same to the other 99 poles – repeat the process a few more times and then that house will start raising up like it was on hydraulic jacks.
In my prime I played with my springy poles ever chance I got - lifting big logs out of the bog (and in case you don’t know bogs literally suck because of pressure) so as the log raises up you would get a sucking sound. Cheers!

For the past few months I have been having a hard time finishing all 6 of my Saturday day night beers and can only drink 4 or 5 of them - I even considered switching from a lager to a light beer which would be a step or 2 away from drinking 0.5 near beer.
So before my drinking days are over I thought I would listen to the wise and eternally youthful words of Jim Morrison and this morning I got up and got my self a beer. Cheers!
