Your week end plans

Postby Nanoose » Fri Oct 09, 2009 1:52 pm

The high light of my week end will be when the grocery delivery guy arrives at 4 o’clock - partly because he will be bringing our Thanks given food and partly because he will be delivering my weekly 6 pack of Lucky lager beer.
Then I am going to drink and smoke my self silly for the rest of the day and be thank full for what we have and that the week end is finally here.

Tomorrow my week end plan is to take advantage of the methane gas produced by my septic tank and use it to heat my green house during the winter and grow a bit of food during the winter. I included a photo of the green – I hope you can’t tell but it didn’t cost me a penny to make because I used recycled materials. Cheers happy Thanks given and week end!

Is using the methane gas safe? I can just image some sort of explosion that blows your septic all over your gardens. If we don't hear from your by Sunday we will call the medics to check on your well being!

Just a thought, figure the gas thing out before you drink the beer and smoke your herbs

In 3-4 hours I'll be doing a repeat of this video:

I plan to spend this weekend trying to redeem myself with Rose and getting back into her good graces after a regretful slip of lip I may have once made, since she keeps bring up old stuff.

That was my first thought too!! You know how US Thanksgiving is supposed to commemorate the whole Pilgrim/Native American thing? Well what exactly is the Canadian Thanksgiving supposed to celebrate? I know nothing about Canadian history.

For my weekend plans just going to relax a bit, enjoy the extra day off of work and tek in a stageshow with Assassin and Natural Blacks. :dreads:

Well my plan is to take the dirt off the top of my septic tank and then snake lay 2 soaker hoses on it cover it with plastic and put the dirt back
The soaker hoses run into the green house and are at the bottom of the planter box.
The area that my septic tank is in is always the last area that snow sticks and the first area that it melts so there must be a heat source heating the ground – I am just going to capture some of it and heat the soil in my planter box.
I was a little scared that the plastic would cause a methane build up but I asked a guy at the septic service and he said it shouldn’t be a problem but to be on the safe side I will probably leave a hole in the plastic for gases to escape.
Yesterday I had a look at all the digging I would have to do and put the project on hold until
I am more energetic. Cheers and happy Thanks given and week end!

Today, watch 5th-ranked Virginia Tech Hokies eat Boston College Eagles for lunch.

Sunday, lunch with elder son & his wife and her parents.

Monday (Columbus Day holiday), take cat to vet for annual shots. (Got to remember to clip her claws today!!!)

I'd invite Eco over, too, to chug brews with us, but he's sailing this weekend. At least that's his story. Personally, I don't see the point of sailing unless you're fishing or seducing the new secretary at the office, but to each his own.

No digging for me today – cartoons and herbs
I wouldn’t mind stopping by for a couple of Bass ales but I would have sneak
into America so I might be wearing a disguise and my alais name would be Banoose.
Maybe we should get a code phrase – maybe something like Mary Jane sent me.. Cheers!

Had a most enjoyable lunch at Glory Days Sport Bar & Grill with elder son and his wife's dad while the girls were out shopping (they joined us later). The place was jam packed with Sunday pro football fanatics and we had to wait almost an hour for a table, but the wait was worthwhile. We all had tall beers and steaks with hot wings while the Ravens came from behind to kick the hometown Washington Redskins' butts. Although I'm not a pro football enthusiast, it was fun watching all the different pro games on the multiple TV screens (esp. the large plasma screens) while getting mildly smashed.

Though I'm not much of a hard liquor drinker, stopped by the ABC store and treated myself to a bottle of highland single malt scotch whisky, which I'm now sipping and savoring as the sun sinks over central Va.

Unlike the American Thanksgiving which is associated with the early American colonists, the Canadian Thanksgiving is based on the European harvest festival. The harvest comes earlier in Canada because of its northern locale and thus it is celebrated in October.
