Hedonism 2 Review

A review of Hedonism 2, otherwise known as Hedo II in Negril, Jamaica.

For years I’ve been hearing about the Hedo resorts, so I decided to look into Hedo II in Negril and see what the hype is all about.  My search started on a Hedo forum which led me to about a half dozen other Hedo forums……people love to chat about Hedo but they leave out the juicy details!  After a while I decided that I wanted to see Hedo II to see what the hype was all about.  Since I already had a room booked for my stay in Negril I talked to their marketing department about a couple of day and night passes to review their property with a friend of mine who owns a tour company in Jamaica.

The beach at Hedonism 2 in Negril Jamaica

First off, Hedo II is a nude resort, but they do offer plenty of areas where you can wear clothes if you are shy.  Speaking of shy, nobody is shy at Hedo!  If you think you are too fat, too skinny, too young, too old……….don’t worry there are very few models running around the place!  The whole vibe at Hedo is all about being relaxed and enjoying yourself…… and maybe others if you are lucky :-)   If you want to relax and explore yourself book your next vacation at Hedo II.

hedo review 2

Booking a room at Hedo II:  SkyAuction, SkyAuction, SkyAuction (If you can’t tell, I think SkyAuction offers some excellent rates)!  You can book your rooms directly with Hedo or you can use about any on-line booking company that you can dream of.  As of the time that this was published, Hedo was offering a $570 savings coupon on their web site so be sure to check it first.

Checking in at the Hedo II: While hanging out in the Hedo lobby for awhile we witnessed a few people checking in and they seemed to get processed rather quickly.  The front desk is properly staffed with customer service agents who are waiting to serve you.

Room quality: A quote “People don’t go to Hedo for the rooms”.  I’ve heard that quote over and over again and think it’s a bunch of bullshit!  The rooms are very nice and exactly what I would expect from a top rated Super Club resort.  Take a look at my video at the end of this review to see some pictures of the rooms.

A room at Hedo 2 in Negril Jamaica

Staff: One word—–>  PROFESSIONAL.  During the course of our stay, we did not meet one staff member who was not happy and ready to help us with whatever we needed.  Even the bartenders who serve the free drinks and seldom see a tip had an excellent approach to customer service.  Thumbs up to whoever oversees the employee training programs at Hedo II.

Food: 3 words——> not overly seasoned.  Overall the food was very good but I’m used to food with tons of seasonings when I’m in Jamaica.  I guess it’s safer to serve bland food with the seasonings on the side so appeal to 100′s of people instead of the few (like me) who like every thing extra spicy.  Hedo offers a ton of places to eat and since we were only there for a couple of meals, we could only sample two of them.  When I return I would love to sample all of them :-)

pool at Hedo II

Security:  No concerns at all!

Location: Hedo II is secluded at the north end of Negril but it is only a few short minutes away from any of Negril’s attractions.  If you have a good pair of shoes you can walk “downtown” or you can take a route taxi (shared taxi) for about $1.00 (US).  A regular private taxi will run you between $5.00 and $20.00 (each way) depending on your negotiating skills.

I hate to say it since Negril offers so much to do, but I think once you settle in at Hedo II you will never leave. Here’s a short list of what they offer:  tennis courts, pools, rock-climbing wall, fitness area, spa, slot machines, water sports, swim-up bar, relaxing beach, hammocks, nightlife………I’m missing more than I listed!

hedo review 1

Overall Rating of  Hedo II:  A professional operation that is managed and staffed by professionals.  Think of the Ritz, take away the glitter, add some Jamaican charm and you have Hedo 2!

Hedo 2 is definitely on my bucket list…if those penis enlargement pills I ordered actually work.

If they don’t work just stay on the “prude” (non nude) side until it gets dark! I really don’t think the women will ignore you because of the size of your Johnson.

Awesome!! Great post, room color combination looks nice. I’ve visited to Hedo II, It was all right, it has a little beach and a little dance club. The food was pretty good. I always recommend them to all friends.

    Best Regards,

TSR, I guess it depends on what you call family. If you are talking about kids under the age of 18 it’s not a place to bring them. If you are talking about your husband or wife then I would have to agree.

I loved your post. Having been to Hedo II (6) times I’m a huge fan. We started going in 2000 and just made our last trip there in late 2009. In fact we got married next door at (what was) Grand Lido, now it’s Breezes.

I also blog about the resort and have some vintage photos and reviews. I just posted 5 Smooth Girl cover shots all taken at Hedo!

    Thanks for the good read.

    Hi everyone,

First off, let me say that I had to register a new account so that I could stay anonymous talking about this. A lot of you might be able to recognize who I am based on the information, because I’ve talked about it privately. I don’t want any of my real life friends or family to find out about this just yet, so please respect my attempt to stay private.

My problem is that my husband has been acting really strangely lately. He’s almost completely normal when he’s around me, we still talk just as much, and we spend roughly the same amount of time together. There are still a host of problems, though. For one, he’s not as interested in… physical intimacy, as he was before. We’ve been married for about five years, and have been making love steadily about two or three times a week — until a couple months ago, when it suddenly dropped off to more like two or three times a month. The other thing is that he’s been going to the gym a whole lot more lately. I keep telling him that I think he’s beautiful as he is, but he has a new obsession with getting even more muscular than he already is. I don’t really MIND so much, because, well, my man’s pretty hot. But it’s a weird change in routine.

The thing that makes me worried the most, though, is that a couple days ago I went to type an address into the web browser on our desktop computer. When I started typing, a weird address came up in the recent sites list — a dating site. Now, I know that I can’t hold a candle to these young women he could find on there physically, but I can’t believe my husband would actually cheat on me just because of that! In fact, I’m holding up rather well for my age (35), I work out… but I guess I’m just not as attractive as a 20 year old :-\

So my question is… what do I do next? Do I confront him? I feel like this is hardly rock-solid evidence of anything, and I certainly don’t want to ruin my marriage if I’m wrong. I don’t know what to do. Help please!

    WEll hello all.

your review of hedo was good. I want to point out some things that the normal or “vanilla” person might not know about hedo.

1 hedo is not a swingers resort. can you get some, yes, but it is a great NO pressure place, everyone is SO respectful.

my wife and i have traveled between jamaica and mexico 10 times in the last 8 years. we have been to hedo 3 times, were going back in may.

the people comparison is just not what people can fathom. ok, you go to a nice 5 star resort… lets say riu palace, or iberostar. when was the last time four or five couples came up and introduced themselves, just to be nice. at hedo, this is always happening. the people and the atmosphere are simply amazing.
the rooms are basic comparitively speaking, always clean, but basic. any time we have a problem, the staff is there to help.

we are the co hosts of a group called the wicked wildcats. just an online community of people who go to hedo annually. we meet online and talk, ask any questions, and get to know each other so we dont feel “alone” while your there. this year we are going to have upwards of 150 people going. we get great discounts because of this, and some special treatment.

anyway… so to continue… to the guy with the little dick comment.
no worries dude, i have seen guys that have innies, and guys like horses, and at hedo, variety is the spice of life. you are there to let go your inhabitions and check your self esteem problem at the door.

i would not want to visit hedo as a single male. there is kind of an unwritten rule at hedo. the women do the talking, if there is any “extra” stuff that people want. single men get to looking creepy quick, and couples stick together.

but seriously, if you want to try out hedo, come with a group, heck, come with our group. we break in noobies all the time… we all know what its like for us closed minded Americans to go get stark ass naked in front of 500 people. but believe me when i tell you, once you do it, 15 minutes later you dont even realize it and you got a red stripe in one hand and your honey in the other having the time of your life.

food is good, i agree, not the normal spicy jerk i am used to from jamaica, however, still good flavor

pool on the nude side is just about the right size, the bar “Delroys” named after Delroy, the bartender of a couple decades, is a great place to hang, and if you want a seat, you better be there at the crack of dawn.

favorite hedo activities… naked hugs. need i say more?

there are a plethora of different things to do there, from mild to wild… if your shy, dont listen to our poster here. the prude side is EMPTY almost always… if your shy go with a group of people, we will all walk around and when your comfy we will all disrobe together, really, it seems like a big deal, but its not.

in our group we had a couple, the guy was shy, the girl was shyer, they stayed on the prude side for 2 days. we finally convinced them 10 of us, to come to the nude side… later that day, they were playing coed naked twister, and doing hedo’s version of the body shot.

they never had so much fun.
the naked waterslide is my favorite fun thing provided by the staff.

so to conclude. come to hedo, you will love it, and you wont go anywhere else again.

if you want to know more, email me, come to our website and check out our forums and theme nights and see what is happnin at hedo… our group is free, we just a big group of people who like to have fun at hedo.

Can i find a hooker to have sex with.

  18. Eco on Sun, 29th May 2011 8:54 pm

Mike, there is no shortage of hookers in town and hearsay says that some work the resort. You can’t bring one from outside the resort back to your room without paying for a day or night pass. The XXX place a couple miles down the road has cheap rooms and you can figure the rest out……

  19. Rasta Mon on Thu, 16th Jun 2011 10:10 am

Here is the truth. If there are any 5 star reviews for this resort they are coming frfom either the resort employees/management or someone from kentucky that lives in a trailer. Imagine taking your significant other to a supposed tropical paradise only to find out it ended up being a run down motel 6 that has been overrun by the locals(assuming they are relatives of the employees/entertainment). The room smelled like piss and the A/C would barely work. When we turned on the hot tub outside the room it made green bubbles. We asked if they could put some chlorine in and they said they don’t use it!?
We have been to other resorts in Jamaica and the food selection was limited at Hedo and not very good. I actually was not able completely chew up the prime rib and swallow it because of all the gristle. For anyone in the lifestyle of swinging they know what it is like to go to a party and have bunch of single weenies hanging around creepin. That is the main flavor of this resort – the singles out number the couples on an average week and they are about 97% men. Most of the couples that were there were naturalist-not swingers. For those that do not know this there is a huge difference. Naturalists usually do not swing and are very clicky with the groups that they travel with. This will make it very awkward if you are there to have “fun” not wanting to offend anyone you are going to see for the entire week. The beach peddlers are bad in Jamaica but the employees on the resort are actually more of a concern. They hang around outside the doors of your room waiting to “score”. Friends of ours had a situation a few years back where an employee followed her into the restroom and the husband found him trying to corner her in the stall. He left the guy laying on the bathroom floor and notified the management. The entertainment reminded us of a scene from the movie Idiocracy. They brought a series of black men out in a weird WWF style introduction that were supposed to be strippers. Most of them spent there limelight dry humping the floor with banana hammocks on. They would also prove there manhood by bringing women members of the audience on stage and show how many positions they could have sex by demonstrating(we are sure that was for later possibilities-lol). There were no women strippers which was a huge disappointment . More of less the whole thing was a sausage fest that made you want to carry a can of mace as you hurried your way back to your room. Many of the decorations/structures around the resort were broken, rotted or outdated. Our main gripe with the resort is that Apple Vacations considered this a 4 star resort when it is actually a 2 star. If you read all the reviews seriously you know that is not the truth.

Rasta Mon, so you had a good time at Hedo? Personally, I liked the assortment of cheese and the salad bar was okay. You must of missed the self serve frozen drink stands all over the place…..a good buzz makes a 2 star resort a 5 star resort!

Going to Hedo 2 Aug 13 for colorful fantasies – 1st time for me. Love exotic ladies. I am single, medical professional, and not shy/outgoing. I would like to find other single ladies that are going so as to have someone to dine with, talk to, party with, and maybe more…………..let me know.

We’ve been numerous times and each time is different. The second trip we met the group of people that we meet up with every year and it’s a wonderful week! No, it’s not a five star resort…2 1/2 to three at best and to be honest this will be our last trip for a while. Too many other things in the world to see. I agree with Wildcat that there is a plethora of things to do from mild to wild and we’ve “been there and done that” and it was great. We also don’t go when the swingers are at their peak and to be honest I can do without seeing anymore PDA’s…lol. Old hat after a while but hey…that’s just my opinion. On the down side, I don’t think the nude pool is very clean…our group has taken over the prude pool up top that is hardly ever used and we have an absolute ball!…Nude or prude!
Like they say…”It’s all good, mon”

in hedonism resorts do they welcome new swinging couples that are large in size and do they accomodate for shy people;p
