Notes:

Jamaica has added a $5000 bill since these pictures were taken and I will add some pictures of the new bill when I return to Jamaica in 2 months.

Jamaica is in the process of introducing round coins to replace the irregular sided coins shown in some of the pictures here.

    According to GoCurrency, “The first money in Jamaica was Spanish copper coins called Maravedis. Later, other silver coins were implemented, as the British began to rely on Jamaica to a large extent.

    Can the Government of Jamaica please change those old moneys,those money were about from the British ruled Jamaica,It’s time for them to change those moneys and if they do I’ll like to advice them to put the moneys in Beautiful colors and the beautiful colors should not include Green,It’s time for Bruce Golding to step down and give Portia a chance.

    I like them they look good in my wallet and in my bank account some people say they don’t value nothing but they do value something in Jamaica.
